A huge peaceful sit-in protest has been staged at Supreme Court of Pakistan, Shaheen Complex, Karachi, against Chief Minister Sindh and Governor Sindh,  on a call of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan, to demanded the end of Shia Genocide, the mainly metropolitan city of Karachi, where targeted killing of Shia Muslims takes place daily.

MWM has termed this protest to be against CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah allegedly for not taking any action against what they call ‘Shia genocide” in the province.

Roads leading to CM House from Metropole, Clifton, PIDC and Shaheen Complex have been blocked since early morning by placing containers, while containers have been placed on the road from Fawwara Chowk to Governor House also.

A huge number of people including women and children participated in the march rally.

The participants walked towards the Supreme Court Karachi Registry because the roads leading to Chief Minister House were closed.

MWM leaders said while addressing the participants of the rally that Karachi has become a safe haven for terrorists, adding that youngsters, doctors and other professionals are killed after getting handpicked.

They said that despite all the violent attempts, the government and law enforcement has been acting as silent spectators.

They said that today’s rally is just a beginning and that if the series of murder is not stopped and murderers are not arrested then MWM will march to Islamabad.

According to MWM’s spokesman Allama Hassan Zafar , Government of Sindh Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad and Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah are also responsible of ongoing genocide of Shia Muslims.

The spokesman said that we want ruthless operation against terrorists involved in Shia killing and target killing of karachiites saying that this is the responsibility of the government to protect the citizens from terrorists but they had failed to perform their constitutional duties.

Allama Hassan Zafar said that since targeted operation began in September 2013 to date, more than 130 Shia Muslims have been murdered in Karachi and among them were eminent scholars, doctors, lawyers, engineers.

He lashed out at the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for not inviting Shia parties at high-level meeting he presided over to discuss law and order situation in Karachi. He said that it reflected sort of bias Prime Minister had with the victims of terrorism. He said that the PMLN government had bowed to Saudi monarchy at US dollars 1.5 billion and they are protecting the Yazidi takfiri terrorists of outlawed outfits in the name of talks with them instead of launching military operation to liquidate them.

“Provincial governments are emulating the federal government and they too took no action to eliminate the terrorists. The most inept, incompetent of them is Sindh Chief Minister who holds home ministry as well but failed to liquidate the terrorists. Banned terrorist outfits’ leaders are accorded official protocol and this approach has encouraged and emboldened the terrorists,” he said.

Earlier a rally was staged from Numaish Chowrangi, M.A Jinnahd Road to CM House at around 2 pm, which stopped outside Supreme Court.

The authorities have sealed all roads leading to Chief Minister House and Governor House in the Red Zone by placing containers.

Pro-Taliban terrorists have killed thousands of innocent Shiite Muslims across the country, but government, judiciary and law enforcement agencies have failed to protect the citizens and have taken no step to stop ongoing genocide of Shiite Muslims in Pakistan.

The terrorist groups have launched a violent campaign against Shia Muslims and appear to have widened their terror campaign in major Pakistani cities.

According to local sources, militants affiliated to Taliban and al-Qaeda terrorist groups have killed thousands of Shia Muslims in the country.

The killing of Shias in Pakistan has caused international outrage, with rights groups and regional countries expressing concern over the ongoing deadly violence against the Shia community, which reportedly makes up about a third of Pakistan’s population of over 180 million.
